Who This Policy Covers

This policy covers the Olune app and olune.ai, both provided by Meldh LLC. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@meldh.com.

What Olune Collects

Olune has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking software. Meldh operates no inference or purchase server for the app. Olune does not automatically send Meldh your conversations, Journal entries, notes, settings, or model prompts. Some features contact another service or hand selected material to another app only when you choose to use them, as described below. Meldh does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

What Stays on Your Device

Conversations, Journal entries, notes, letters, thread summaries, About Me text, and local report records are stored in a SQLCipher-encrypted database. Its key is held in the operating system's secure storage on this device. Other preferences, including appearance, model choice, notification settings, and onboarding state, are stored in unencrypted files inside the app's private folder. The downloaded model also stays on the device. Model inference and ordinary storage work offline after setup.

Model Download

Olune downloads its language model from Hugging Face when you choose to install it. Hugging Face and its infrastructure providers receive the request and ordinary network information, including the requesting IP address. The request does not include your conversations, Journal entries, notes, or model prompts. Hugging Face handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Purchases

If you buy an optional upgrade, the purchase is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Meldh does not operate a purchase server and does not receive your payment-card details. The store may provide the app with a purchase entitlement so it can recognize what you own. The store handles its own data under its privacy policy.

Clipboard, Sharing, and Exports

Copy places selected text on the operating system clipboard. Share hands selected material to the system share menu. Journal export creates a temporary PDF on the device before opening that menu, and passage-card export does the same with an image. An encrypted backup is protected by a password you choose and can be saved to a folder or handed to another app. Once material leaves Olune, the operating system, receiving app, storage provider, or person you select handles it under their own terms. Meldh does not receive these exports unless you deliberately send them to Meldh.

Notifications

If you enable reflection reminders or future-letter alerts, Olune schedules local notifications with the operating system. Reflection reminders contain a general prompt. Future-letter alerts identify that a letter has arrived but do not contain the letter text. These notifications are not sent to Meldh. Your operating system controls how they are stored and displayed.

Reports You Choose to Make

Report opens a preview without saving a flag or sending anything. You can edit the response, choose a reason, and add an optional note. Hide Here saves an encrypted local record containing the original question and response, reason, and note, then hides the response; it sends nothing. Send Report transmits only the edited response, reason, optional note, displayed app version and model information, random report ID, and protocol version through a Google Apps Script receiver for email submission to reports@meldh.com, an alias on Meldh's Google Workspace mailbox. Model information identifies the current catalog entry when available, not a verified record of the version that generated the response. Olune does not attach your question, conversation history, Journal, About Me text, a device or user identifier, or your email address. The response or note can still contain personal details; remove anything you do not want to send. Google processes the transmission and associated network information, including your IP address, and the emailed report is stored for human review.

After receiver acceptance, Olune also tries to save the local record and hide the response. That local record contains the original text even if you edited the version sent. A local-save failure is reported separately, and Undo only reverses local hiding; it cannot retract an email. Reports are not monitored for emergencies. Olune does not send reports automatically or retry them in the background. Meldh does not forward reports to AI services or use them for model training.

Links You Open

A link opened from Olune is handled by your browser or the destination app. That destination sees the ordinary network information associated with the visit and applies its own privacy policy. Olune adds no conversation or Journal content to the request unless the link itself clearly represents content you chose to share.

Age Eligibility

Olune is for adults 18 and older and is not designed or appropriate for minors. Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. On an installation obtained from Google Play, Olune first asks Play whether age information may be shared and, when available, temporarily reads the returned age range to decide whether the 18-and-older requirement is met. Olune does not retain or transmit that response, request or expose Play's install identifier, or add the result to app backups. Google processes the request under its own terms and privacy policy. When Play does not share an age range, the local age screen checks the date you enter on this device and retains only an adult declaration in the operating system's secure storage. It does not retain or transmit your date of birth, and the declaration is excluded from Olune's exports and backups. A local declaration does not independently verify your age.

This Website

Olune.ai uses no Meldh analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, account system, or marketing cookies. The site is hosted through GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process ordinary request information, including IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the site under GitHub's privacy statement. Email links open your email service, whose terms then apply.

Children

People under 18 may not use Olune. Meldh does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent information to Meldh, contact support@meldh.com.

Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on the device until you delete individual material, use Erase Everything, or remove the app. Temporary export files may remain in the app's cache until Olune cleans them up on a later launch or during Erase Everything. Erasing Olune cannot remove copies you already saved or sent elsewhere. Meldh cannot access or remotely delete local material it never receives. Meldh deletes raw reports after review, ordinarily within 30 days, except when preservation is necessary for legal obligations or claims. The report receiver uses short-lived metadata for duplicate and abuse checks, with a 24-hour logical expiry and best-effort cleanup. Expiry does not guarantee immediate physical deletion. Google's trash, backup, and other provider retention can outlast deletion from Meldh's active records. Meldh may retain support correspondence as reasonably needed to respond or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of information you sent to Meldh by emailing support@meldh.com; include the report ID if available.

Security

Olune uses SQLCipher encryption for its local database and password-based encryption for backups. Plain preferences remain protected by the operating system's app sandbox, not by SQLCipher. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your device, backup password, clipboard, email account, and exported files.
